New Suit

After looking at this suit from anthropologie for two years, I ordered it. It came and I was like a little kid. I ripped open the package and put it right on, after all, it was hot outside. Much to my dismay, I did not look like the model. Shocker :). BUT, it's cute. It covers everything and most of all I love that it has built in chest support. I'm not sure the boy cut legs are the most flattering on me...I'm afraid that it looks a little old lady rather than retro. So I'm on the hunt for a fun big hat and big glasses. We had rain this week but the sun's back out. It's supposed to be a really warm weekend into next week. Looking forward to Mike having the weekend off (and a sushi date night, maybe, hint, hint Mike). If you happen to be at the beach in the next week, I'll be the one in this suit.

Four Friends (+ Their Moms)

There's something special about these friends. Tara and I bonded over our crazy similarities. We are the same age, both first time Moms (to twins) born within a week of each other. When we're together it's so nice to share a look with her that says, 'I get it.' Because she does. And watching the friendship with our kids change is so fun. They really play now.

 

 

 

Drew and Ella snuck off behind the tree. They were sharing a moment and I interrupted with my camera. 

 

 

 

Some Like It Hot

It's been in the high 70s and low 80s around here...so I've been all smiles. First stop, the beach.

 

Dig them a hole and they're happy for hours. (Literally, like 2 1/2 hours. Then they go from the happiest kids on earth to melt down).

Sandy hop scotch with friends.

 
  

Ending the day with some baseball and BBQ. (Is Max a walking Disney ad or what? The character paraphernalia kills me. But it's not about me is it).

Sleepy girl fell asleep in our bed.

Second day this week. Same spot. Because when it's this warm, and we can...why not? Days like this I pinch myself that the rest of the world is at work and I get to make these memories with our kids. 

 

The warm weather is sticking around as we celebrate Maeg's boyfriend Zach's birthday this weekend. Enjoy whatever you're doing :)

My brother Spencer is heading to Costa Rica for a surf trip tomorrow...have the best time Spence! Be safe. Have fun.

Gone Fishin'

We took the kids fishing at a little lake in a nearby neighborhood. It's a shame they won't have any video or photos to remember their childhood.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Easter Photo Overload

Here's our Easter in photos...and a video (the video's long, you're welcome Grandparents). Maxwell told me today that he likes Easter. Then he asked me if it's going to be Christmas tomorrow. They've got this holiday thing down.



The Easter Bunny brought Ella Lip Smackers...this girl is INTO makeup. And I am not. We may in trouble here.

 
Maxwell took his egg hunting very seriously.

Ella's total = 5. Maxwell = 213,445. She kept telling us, "Me fine. Me have enough."

A Bittersweet Move

My stepson Michael is moving FAR away. It's completely bittersweet. But instead of me telling you about it, I'm sending you to read about his journey from his beautiful sister's point of view. Because she nailed it.
