Nursery Inspirations

People keep asking me what the theme for our nursery will be. I instantly panic because to me theme means Winnie the Pooh or jungle safari. Cute, but not my style. Right now I am in love with chocolate brown and white. Months ago I saw a picture of a friend's nursery (baby Finley), and I have been dreaming about creating something similar ever since. Here are some ideas I like so far. I love rich brown walls with white furniture, the look of this wall with white and silver frames. The babies will have Maegann's old room, which might look similar to the third picture below, as the room has chair rail (minus those blue curtains).

My sister-in-law Tanya is the most talented person I know. She hand makes everything and her girls' room is BEAUTIFUL. Me...not so crafty. But I did find this girl bedding at Target that I love. For our little boy, I would love to find something similar in brown and white. We'll see. We have time. How fun are baby nurseries?

Below: random rooms I saw online

Below: http://www.thelandofnod.com/ , I love how simple this room looks. A bit too pink for our boy, but so cute.

Okay....I've got my paint brush handy and I'm ready to go. I guess I'll be painting Maegann's new room first and then on to the babies' room.
I love the brown and white walls and I'd love to help in any way I can. I'm not as talented as Tanya but I can follow directions.
Next, we need to do some shopping.
Love you.

Great plans! The brown is so calming. Let me know if you're interested in a mural. It would be great to finally see you after all this time.
