They were SO proud to wear their costumes to a Trunk or Treat last night. I intended to draw a mustache on Mario but then realized A. I don't wear makeup and didn't know what to use. B. Didn't feel like buying any. I'll find some for Halloween. Thank you Grandma J for their outfits!!!

Mario And Princess Peach
When it came to choosing costumes this year, Maxwell chose Mario. Obviously. Because he thinks he IS Mario. Which is kind of weird, no? What is the infatuation with a 30 year old plumber? Sure he shoots fireballs, but really I just don't think he's that cool. Which matters zero. So Mario was the clear choice for Maxwell and Ella went along with Princess Peach because any princess is magical to her. For the third year in a row, Grandma Judie made them amazing costumes. Check out years past she made of Buzz and Tink, and Woody and Jesse.

Pumpkins
We took our annual pumpkin photos with our twin friends.
Don't blink, these kids are practically off to high school. Sniff, sniff.

We missed pictures last year but here are the Octobers before...It's not that I want to stunt who they are now, it's just that I want to visit who they were. I want to hear their voices and squeeze their little bodies.

Ahhh, sweet girl's mullet.
The kids stayed still just long enough for me to snap a few pictures. I'm not above bribing with lollipops. Our days feel full, we like October.

I could stare at this one all day. It's all I can do not to climb through the screen and gobble up that chubby boy of mine.

Final Halloween Post
One final post to jot down memories of this Halloween with three year olds.
- Ella was fearless and assertive as she marched right up to every door.
- Both kids kept forgetting what to say. The door would open and they'd just stare.
- Maxwell liked the idea of Trick or Treating, but he was devastated at his 'treats.' Before the door would
even shut he'd turn to us with a disgusted look and say, 'Chocolate?! Again?!' Maxwell does not like
chocolate.
- They both loved their costumes. This morning they told me that next year they want to be
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and his lady friend Clarise. Um, adorable. But I'm sure they'll change
their minds. By next week.

Tink And Buzz
Last night we went to a 'Trunk or Treat' at the church next door. I watched my 3 year olds collect candy and play carnival games like big kids. Ella was the leader with Maxwell following shyly behind her. On Wednesday we are going to meet Mike in Monterey and let the kids do Halloween there.
How amazing are these costumes that my mother in law made? After she did such a good job with their outfits last year, I asked for her help again. Judie hand made almost every part of these. The kids were so proud to be Tinkerbell and Buzz Light Year. Thanks Judie!
Here's a look at our Halloween decorations this year. It's a little tacky but fun. I'm obsessed with printing out engineer prints at Staples. For $2.99 I blew old photos up and cut them out to decorate. Michael and Little Maeg are the in middle as the scarecrow and Dorothy. You can see our hand made crafts thrown in :)

For 70 cents I printed this out as an 11 x 14 on card stock at Staples and threw it in a frame (found image free on pinterest)

There's A Snake In My Boot!
Somebody poisoned the water hole! You're my favorite deputy! That's right, this Mom can quote Toy Story for days because my kids are obsessed. This Halloween Grandma Judie made them Woody and Jesse costumes. She did such a great job! They were so proud to be their favorite cowboys. It was adorable to watch them run from house to house trick or treating. They yelled back and forth, "Hurry up!" or "Wait for me!" It was a good night :)
Thank you Grandma for their perfect costumes! I'm writing this at 9:30 a.m., and they are watching Toy Story and Maxwell is wearing his Woody costume.

three-peat
Our third annual pumpkin shoot. I love traditions. Little Naomi moved away, but the twins are here to stay.
Make a silly face...
After awhile, Ms. Lilly drew joined us. Look as those braids, she is too cute! The other pumkpins were too wound up for another photo.
