Tink And Buzz

Last night we went to a 'Trunk or Treat' at the church next door. I watched my 3 year olds collect candy and play carnival games like big kids. Ella was the leader with Maxwell following shyly behind her. On Wednesday we are going to meet Mike in Monterey and let the kids do Halloween there.

How amazing are these costumes that my mother in law made? After she did such a good job with their outfits last year, I asked for her help again. Judie hand made almost every part of these. The kids were so proud to be Tinkerbell and Buzz Light Year. Thanks Judie!

Here's a look at our Halloween decorations this year. It's a little tacky but  fun. I'm obsessed with printing out engineer prints at Staples. For $2.99 I blew old photos up and cut them out to decorate. Michael and Little Maeg are the in middle as the scarecrow and Dorothy. You can see our hand made crafts thrown in :)

For 70 cents I printed this out as an 11 x 14 on card stock at Staples and threw it in a frame (found image free on pinterest)

That's it. Can't believe winter's right around the corner. We're still in flip flops and shorts.

Cousins and Pumpkins

Avila Valley Barn in October is my favorite place for pictures. So I'm sure this is only our first set of pumpkin pics. On Saturday we packed a picnic and let the cousins explore the farm. There was a big hay maze that they begged to go in again and again. And again and again. Thankfully, Camryn was a patient cousin and took them because just looking at it made me claustrophobic.

For being such a summer girl, I'm over it. My car temp yesterday told me that it was 101. Today's supposed to be hotter than yesterday. I'm dreaming of hot chocolate and scarves. Tall boots and scented candles. Leaves and brisk mornings. It'll come, and then I'll miss our warm nights. So for now, we'll fake fall with trips to the barn and tractor rides.

Afternoon picnic.

Afternoon mischief.

Come on guys...get together...

Grandma bought them their first pumpkin of the season.

Here's to faking fall~

Wednesday

Aunt Linda and Carrie we loved our visit with you! Thank you so much for the hospitality and great company. Maxwell and Ella remember everything, so next time we visit I know they are going to want to gather apples again. They are so funny like that, they have to do the same things every time they go somewhere. They'll want to play with the monkey, chase your dog, swing, and cuddle in the guest room bed. We had a great time, your home is beautiful! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the family.

Thanks for sending me pictures Carrie, they are beautiful!
I love these ones of Grandma with Ella on the swing.

Play Day With The Big Kids

Michael came home this weekend! We had the best afternoon on the golf course with our big kids. I LOVE golfing. Even though I don't actually golf. I think I finished half a beer and bag of potato chips (you know the really good Kettle ones?) before they finished the first hole. I love riding in the cart, drinking beer and enjoying the beautiful golf course. Grandma Judie watched the little ones for us (thank you!!!). Charli and Camryn were over too so the cousins got to play together.

Lil Meg and her boyfriend Zack.

Michael.
Awwwww...

We came home to happy cousins playing with Grandma.

Maxwell kept naming off everyone who was at our house. He was sooo excited.

Sister got a little ping pong lesson from her big brother. She keeps asking me if she can play hockey again.
