That's One Big Belly

This picture was taken exactly two years ago today. I had just spent eight LONG days in the hospital on magnesium sulfate because the babies were trying to come early. We kept them healthy inside me until thirty five weeks and then- they sent me home. I thought surely I would get home and immediately go back into labor. But nope. I made it to thirty six weeks. In this picture I was so weak from being on yucky drugs in the hospital. I remember standing by my front door asking my friend Claudette to take the picture, thinking this would be the last pregnancy pic. I thought I was going to have the twins that night for sure. My face is so tired and weary (and, truthfully, fat). But those little stinkers kept me waiting...which was a great thing for twins. I had prepared myself that they may end up in the NICU,  but they were born so healthy they got to come home with us! But not for another two days...
